Digital preservation work often happens in uncertain conditions. Funding priorities shift, systems change, responsibilities can be unclear, and the work can be emotionally demanding. While many assessment tools focus on technology and workflows, they do not always address the human side of stewardship work.
Join us for Navigating Uncertainty Together: A Digital POWRR Reflection Workshop, a free online event led by Stacey Jones, Digital Preservation Librarian at the University of Arizona.
Participants will explore Navigating Uncertainty, a human-centered reflection and assessment framework developed by the Digital POWRR<https://digitalpowrr.niu.edu/> team. Through guided activities and small-group discussion, attendees will apply the framework to their own professional context, reflect on challenges and opportunities, and learn from the experiences of others.
Rather than producing a formal assessment, this workshop focuses on reflection, conversation, and community. Participants will be encouraged to identify insights, consider next steps, and reconnect with a sense of agency and shared purpose in their digital preservation work.
