The OhioDIG Planning Committee seeks nominations/applications for a new member!

We welcome potential members with a range of work experience (including students), as well as from different types and sizes of institutions, and from different parts of the state. (Currently we have plenty of representation from academic institutions.)

Please send any questions to me or any other committee member (list under About<https://ohiodig.org/about#planning>).

Expressions of interest due to Janet Carleton at carleton at ohio.edu<mailto:carleton at ohio.edu> by Monday, February 23, 5pm.

 More details on the work:

  * Currently, the planning committee meets virtually for an hour, approx. 11 times a year.
  * Members join for a two-year renewable commitment, with this term beginning in March 2026 (beginning date negotiable).
  * Members should plan to attend at least half of the 6 public events held each year.
  * For the 3 annual in-person public events, we hope that committee members can attend at least one, and provide some of the support and refreshments (reimbursed).
  * Each public event is managed by a team of 2 self-selected planning committee members-with one taking the lead position. It is expected that members will volunteer for this work on an occasional basis. Event planning work occurs through email to potential presenters and on Trello with the committee, as well as discussions in the regular virtual planning meetings.
  * Planning committee members are expected to participate in the group's work on Trello with comments and feedback.
  * Members are also expected to volunteer for an additional role such as updating a specific page on the website, posting to specific social media, managing tracking spreadsheets, managing the coffee kitty, etc.
  * We work towards membership diversity in type/size of home institution, geographic area, years of professional experience, etc.
  * The current and past committee members can be seen at https://ohiodig.org/about#planning. All committee members' email addresses are there, so you can contact any member for more information.

**The committee thanks our most recent member rotating off, Lisa Wood, Medical Heritage Center, Ohio State University, for her past work on the committee!**
