Job Summary

The Cataloging and Metadata Librarian is responsible for original and complex cataloging of materials, especially electronic formats, following best practices and standards. Timely cataloging of local digital collections and addition of individual package titles. Keeping the library up-to-date on evolving cataloging best practices and procedures to ensure researchers can find and access resources. Working on projects essential for maintaining the library catalog and access to library resources.

Minimum Qualifications

  *   ALA-accredited or equivalent Master’s Degree preferably in library and information studies or related field. (or master’s degree in library and information studies accredited or recognized by the appropriate national body of another country).

Preferred Qualifications

  *   Minimum of 1 year of experience cataloging music scores and CDs, rare materials, DVDs, etc.
