The conference will highlight the theory and practice of digital stewardship and preservation, data curation, the digital object lifecycle, and related issues. This year’s theme, “Striking a Balance: Optimizing Labor for Sustainability and Resilience,” will explore the ways that digital preservation professionals approach, manage, and perform labor across diverse scenarios from managing small teams to ethically deploying AI.

The DigiPres 2026 Planning Committee is pleased to announce that our keynote speaker this year will be Sharon McMeekin, co-founder of Preserve Together<https://www.preservetogether.com/home>. Sharon has been active in the digital preservation space for 20 years and has participated in many initiatives dedicated to supporting digital preservation practitioners in the workplace.
