[Ohiodig] Advice on Special Collections digitization space planning, please!

Hello OhioDIG,
I am looking for advice on Special Collections and Digitization spaces. We
are in the planning stages for a full-gut renovation. Can you tell me what
you like (or hate!) about your spaces?

The spaces we're looking at include:
1. The "Vault" or storage area for all Special Collections items;
2. Reading Room;
3. Exhibit Space;
4. Instruction space (for Special Collections, mostly with undergrads);
5. Digitization room;
6. Office spaces -- for myself, colleague, and student workers;
7. Processing / acquisition storage; and
8. Exhibit and teaching prep space.
The last four are pretty small. ;)

Specifically, we're looking at room adjacencies right now, but really any
advice is useful! I have collections and services in a temporary space
right now, so I'm afraid I'm too far into the "make do" mindset to think
through what issues I could plan to avoid. So, really, tell me what you
* hate* about your space. Or *love! *Or just wish could be different!
