2025 ALAO Conference Call for Proposals
The Academic Library Association of Ohio (ALAO) Conference Planning
committee invites you to submit proposals for the 51st ALAO Annual
Conference.
In-Person Conference Location (Friday, Nov 7, 2025): OCLC Convention
Center, Dublin, OH
ALAO has a long tradition of being a launchpad for first-time presenters of
sessions, posters, lightning talks, and panel discussions. Our conference
provides a welcoming and supportive environment that is perfect for your
first lift-off into presenting! In this spirit, the 2025 ALAO Conference
Planning Committee hosted an informal virtual conversation to fuel interest
among potential first-time presenters and anyone else curious about taking
their ideas to new heights. Here is a recording of the webinar

Please note also that grants are available for Students

Adherence to the conference theme, Mission Possible: Libraries as
Launchpads to Success, is encouraged but not required. Possible topics
include, but are not limited to:

Boosting advocacy for libraries and library workers

Libraries role fueling citizenship and civic engagement

Strategies for working with Alma normalization rules and beyond

Proposal Submissions
Choose which option best fits your topic(s). Multiple submissions are
allowed, but each must represent a different topic.
Conference Session Proposals:
We invite proposals from all areas of library work in the form of
presentations, posters, & lightning talks. If you have a unique session
format idea, please submit it under the Presentation option (i.e., panel
discussions, etc.).
