The Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) has opened Calls for Proposals for three conferences happening online this November: the Digital Library Federation’s (DLF) Forum, Learn at DLF, and NDSA’s Digital Preservation 2021: Embracing Digitality. CLIR welcomes submissions from members and nonmembers alike. Students, practitioners, and others may submit for one conference or multiple. The deadline for all opportunities is Monday, May 17, at 11:59pm Eastern Time.

Miwo is a smartphone app running on the Center for Open Data in the Humanities’ KuroNet Kuzushiji Recognition Viewer, which uses AI and IIIF to decipher Kuzushiji script. The Digital Library of Medieval Manuscripts at Johns Hopkins University received upgrades to its IIIF viewer.
