*DEVCONNECT 2018*, OCLC’s conference for library developers and coders, will be held June 4 – 6, in Dublin, Ohio. This year’s conference will feature a slate of hands-on workshops to help you hone your skills, get more value out of your library’s OCLC services, and network with your peers.

There will be six workshops at the heart of the conference. Each workshop will run about three hours and will be led by a developer or technologist from OCLC or the library community.



Workshop topics



   - Enhancing digital collections using IIIF APIs

   - Submitting ILL requests using the new Tipasa API

   - Sharing best practices and techniques around cataloging workflows with OCLC APIs

   - Accessing patron data through a new Identify Management API

   - Creating a basic cross-platform mobile application using Cordova

   - Learning the basics of entity management using Wikibase



*Extend your conference experience*



A half-day preconference workshop is being offered for developers who are new to OCLC APIs.



And, new for 2018, Jason Ronallo of North Carolina State University will lead a full-day, post-conference workshop on IIIF APIs.



In addition to the workshops, the conference includes



·      updates from OCLC staff on products and services important for your

development work;



·      a reception in the Kilgour building, OCLC’s recently refurbished

headquarters;



·      tours of OCLC’s United States Data Center; and



·      dine-arounds with your peers and OCLC staff in historic Dublin.
