If so I think they could try an AI transcription tool like <a href="https://www.transkribus.org/"> Transkribus</a>?</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">If it’s a digital microfilm reader, they could also try adjusting some of the brightness/contrast settings directly in the software. I’ve found that useful on occasion when I’m in a similar situation.</span></p>
