I wanted to share a virtual Public Domain Day celebration the Internet Archive is co-hosting on January 21 with Creative Commons, Duke Law’s Center for the Study of the Public Domain, Authors Alliance, and Public Knowledge.<br>

This year, we’re celebrating <b>creative works from 1930 and sound recordings from 1925</b> entering the public domain in the U.S. With iconic detectives like
<b>Nancy Drew</b>, <b>Miss Marple</b>, and <b>Sam Spade</b> joining the Class of 2026, we're taking on a mystery theme for the event: "The Case of the Disappearing Copyright"<br>
<br>
The program kicks off with a live pre-show musical performance interpreting newly public-domain classics, including “Georgia on My Mind” and “Dream a Little Dream of Me.”<br>
