In May 2017, CAR sponsored a panel discussion on digitization projects sponsored by local institutions. We would now like to continue the discussion with a focus on how archivists work with volunteers and students to make their projects reality. Join us on

on a project with the Kent Historical Society focused on a local oral history collection. Her role has been to supervise KSU iSchool practicum students working on the collection since 2015, but also as worked as a volunteer herself on the project. The presentation
will include overview of general workflow and project management with volunteers and interns.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Christine Tulley</span></b><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> is Director and Founder of the Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing at The University
of Findlay and a Cleveland native. She will present the linkage between the graduate MA program at archival work through discussion of three aspects 1) Partnership with Hancock Historical Society using physical archival materials to teach contemporary rhetorical
theory 2) Partnership with Harvard Center for Hellenic Studies using digital archival materials to teach classical rhetorical theory 3) Graduate student interest in archival/writing careers and digital humanities projects.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Bill Barrow
</span></b><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">is the Head of Special Collections at Cleveland State University’s Michael Schwartz Library, and co-founder of the Cleveland Memory Project. Special Collections focuses on the history
on Northeast Ohio, especially with its huge Cleveland Press Collection, and utilizes Cleveland Memory as an ever-growing means freely sharing those resources world-wide. Cleveland Memory is collaborative on several levels, with a inter-library team overseeing
it, aided by student assistants, volunteers and practicum students. Cleveland Memory is also a partnership with many area historical societies, public libraries, government agencies and individuals wishing to mount their resources to the web.
