Call for Proposals: Advocating for Library Technical Services

The role of Technical Services (TS) in libraries is indispensable to the
success of public, academic, and special library systems. Technical
Services provide the backbone for ensuring that library collections are
accessible, sustainable, and reflective of diverse community needs. Yet,
Technical Services professionals often face challenges in securing
recognition, support, and funding for their critical work.

This call for papers invites submissions from library staff, researchers,
and supervisors across public, academic, and special libraries who want to
share their advocacy efforts for Technical Services. We are particularly
interested in speakers that can highlight innovative practices, strategic
initiatives, and assessment projects that elevated the visibility and
importance of Technical Services within their libraries and institutions.
Submissions featuring successful case studies and/or having a focus on
practical, actionable advocacy or assessment are especially encouraged!
