Hi Hydy,

We typically just use flatbed scanners (Epson V850s with the film holder add-ons) to scan slides and negatives. It works well for the most part, but does take quite a bit of time, especially if you’re scanning for preservation.

Hi Digitization Friends,

My Boss is looking to prove to the college that the Library needs money.

From the OPC Symposium, I learned that CML Main uses an STImaging Microfilm Scanner to digitize slides.
Our Periodicals department just got rid of our Very Old Microfilm readers (and our microfilm collections), but I’m pretty sure those cameras weren’t up to archival standards anyway.

What are other folks use to scan slides and negatives?
