Might be of interest. I've attended the past few years.

Call for Proposals: Metadata Justice in Oklahoma Libraries & Archives Symposium

For the past three years, this event has provided a space for folks to share their ideas and to create a support network for those interested in this important work in our state's libraries and archives. In light of current events - and acknowledging that many in our field are feeling tired or overwhelmed - we would like to offer a scaled back version of our symposium. This year, we are providing a space for librarians and archivists to discuss issues that they are facing in guided discussion sessions, group writing sessions, and lightning rounds. Please submit your ideas for discussion and/or lightning round proposals, including but not limited to:

  * Obstacles you are facing due to the recent executive orders on IMLS or NEH

  * Efforts your library is making in light of recent obstacles

  *   Reparative description

  *   Alternative or homegrown vocabularies

  * Providing description for audiovisual, oral histories, and/or other non-traditional formats

  * Staff training for inclusive metadata projects

Submit your proposal here!<https://library.uco.edu/mjoklasymposium/cfp>

Preference will be given to proposals received by June 1; however, we will continue to accept proposals through June 15.
