Program Description

The theme of this year's conference is "Digital Directions: Lessons Learned and Future Pathways." Digital Collections work is often cyclical. We plan, digitize, describe, provide access, preserve, and repeat. We sometimes need to revisit our collections to enhance and make them more accessible. We tell stories with our digital content, help users make meaningful connections, and explore future pathways.

Day 1 of the conference will feature a selection of preconference workshops on topics including digital storytelling with Knight Lab tools, collaborative and practical digital preservation, and the new version of CONTENTdm. We are also offering two tours for those not attending a workshop, one to the Gallery of Wood Art and one to the St. Paul Public Library. Day 2 will feature a keynote presentation by Craig Stevens from Northwestern University IT and the Knight Lab, followed by fifteen breakout sessions covering a range of subjects.

Want to join us? Please visit the Minitex website<https://minitex.umn.edu/events/conference/2025-05/upper-midwest-digital-collections-conference-and-minnesota-digital> before April 30th to view the full program and to register for either the in-person or streaming option.
