I'm excited to announce that the Ohio Digital Accessibility Working Group launches this Thursday! Our first meeting is April 10, 12:30-1:30pm and we already have 60+ interested attendees.
If you are a higher education professional in Ohio who is connected to digital accessibility in some way, we'd love to have you. Just fill out this form and we'll get you added to the meeting invite: https://lnkd.in/gurzaWbq<https://www.linkedin.com/safety/go?url=https%3A%2F%2Flnkd.in%2FgurzaWbq%3Ftrk%3Dfeed_main-feed-card-text>
Instructional designers, accommodation specialists, technology professionals/CIOs, web/mobile developers, deans/professors, directors of accessibility or learning centers, graphic designers, assistive technologists - this means you!
Due to the final rule addition to the Americans with Disabilities Act, which mandates WCAG 2.1 AA compliance for all content and technology used by or associated with our institutions, digital accessibility in higher ed is getting attention like never before. Collaboration and friendly networking between professionals will spur on our compliance efforts and bolster our spirits.
