Perhaps of interest.
These are open meetings as far as I know, and are run by the folks who host the annual Archiving conference through the Society for Imaging Science and Technology

Subject: EXT: October Grab-a-Cup with Tom Rieger: Transmissive material in color
Hi everyone:
The next GaC is Monday October 7 at 14:00 NY time. We have a topical meeting lined up that concludes our journey through transmissive material and digitization.
In May we started a discussion about transmissive black and white digitization with Tom Rieger, which we continued in September with a more in-depth discussion about the more ethical or philosophical views around digitization of transmissive material and how to preserve this information. It was a great meeting with lots of participation and good food for thought.
One big topic still to discuss about transmissive material and digitization is transmissive material in color.
Tom Rieger brings his wealth of experience to October’s Grab-a-Cup Meeting and invites you to join in: Transmissive digitization is both art and science. Imaging sensors do not see the same way human eyes do, and there are many other challenges to overcome. Let’s have a discussion about all this!

We hope to see you there!
