Case Western Reserve University seeks a forward-thinking, inclusive, and
collaborative individual for the Digitization Specialist position.
POSITION DESCRIPTION Working with a high degree of independence, the
Digitization Specialist will be overseeing the operations of our
digitization program. Reporting to the Preservation Services Team Leader
and working closely with the Digital Collections Librarian and Digital
Preservation Librarian, the Digitization Specialist will be responsible for
performing and supervising complex scanning and photography of materials
from the Kelvin Smith Library and University Archives collections in
compliance with national and international standards. This position will
collaborate with various library teams and will actively engage with
departments across the campus, including partners in University Circle, to
determine and develop goals and outcomes of digitization work. The
Specialist will continually explore new technologies to increase the
diversity and capacity of digital content produced locally and regionally.

QUALIFICATIONS Experience and Education: High school education and 6 years
of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree and 1 to 3 years of experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
(photography, media production, museum studies, library/information
science, art history, etc.). One year or more of experience working in a
cultural heritage institution.
SALARY This position offers a minimum of $46,035. The salary will be
offered to commensurate with qualifications and experience.
