[Ohiodig] OpenCon Ohio 2024 Lightning Talk Proposals Due 3/23

Dear Colleagues,



We invite you to submit proposals for lightning talk presentations<https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=mufz1z2UzkquqyCQMIB1CNNSkvXKYo1CjvfiIERErrZUQ1BVRFM2VjNTVkNMSE0yVkwyTjlPUTRCMi4u> for our OpenCon Ohio 2024 virtual conference! The free event will be held online the week of May 13-17, 2024.

All proposal submissions are due on March 23rd, 2024, and decisions about accepted submissions will be communicated by April 2nd, 2024, if not earlier. Proposals will be evaluated according to the proposal rubric<https://drive.google.com/file/d/114wJyJCTycMbvSb2wufoyjekjea7D_by/view?usp=sharing>.



The theme of OpenCon Ohio 2024 is Innovations in Open Education, which could include presentations about:

*                     AI and open education

*                     student engagement

*                     affordable learning

*                     open authoring

*                     equity and access

*                     promoting and authoring OERs

*                     publisher and bookstore relations

*                     automatic textbook billing

*                     open pedagogy

*                     Other innovative ideas!



If accepted, lightning talks will be prerecorded and submitted for viewing by conference participants May 13th - May 17th. On Friday, May 17, 2024 we will have several synchronous presentations and interactive conversations via Zoom.



Accepted lightning talks should be recorded and submitted to the conference planning team by May 6th, 2024. Additional information about structure and format will be provided to lightning talk speakers.
