[Ryan Burley at State Library of Ohio with library shelving in background]The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce Ryan Burley<mailto:rburley at library.ohio.gov> is now the Research & Catalog Services Manager at the State Library of Ohio. Ryan is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating Reference & Catalog Services' staff, projects, and programs including collection development, digitization efforts, and cataloging. In addition, Ryan fosters strategic partnerships and collaborations with state agencies and all types of libraries and library related organizations.

He brings 17 years of library service experience from his work at Columbus Metropolitan Library, including the last two years as New Albany Branch Manager. Ryan began his library career as Youth Services Librarian and was promoted to increasing levels of managerial positions. He has a demonstrated record of successful leadership via team building, project and program management, promotion, and commitment to providing exceptional customer experience.

Ryan earned a Master of Library Science from Kent State University School of Library and Information Science (now known as School of Information) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Classical Humanities from The Ohio State University.
