Subject: Requesting Information for Archival Digitization Project at Sherwin-Williams
Hello,
My name is Rachel Menge and I am the Content & Editorial Manager of Corporate Communications at Sherwin-Williams. In my role, I have the pleasure of working with a former colleague of yours, Natalie Maitland, as a vendor partner on the Building Our Future project. Natalie referred me to you for a different project I am currently working on that requires some archival expertise.
We at S-W are currently working on a project that involves a large volume of very old documents (we're approximating it's about 20,000 pages of bound material, some dating back to the 1800s) that must be scanned to meet a pressing deadline at the end of April (given to us externally, so we don't have much, if any, wiggle room on the timeline).
Our current digitization vendor, History Factory, doesn't have the resources to meet the aggressive deadline. Because of the documents' delicate nature, I don't want them landing in the wrong hands because I fear they could be damaged.
Given all of that, we're looking to see if there may be any Cleveland-local vendors experienced in archival digitization and that have the bandwidth in the immediate future that could help with this request. I would welcome any leads so that I can cast my net as wide as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Best,
Rachel
