[Ohiodig] Register for OhioDIG In-Person 5/23 -Implementing FADGI Guidelines

Please join the Ohio Digitization Interest Group for our first in-person meeting since 2020! The meeting will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Columbus Metropolitan Library, Main Library<https://www.columbuslibrary.org/library-locations/>.

(Please note: for in-person meetings we plan to both open and close registration earlier than the "last minute" schedule we tend to with the virtual meetings.)


Topic: Implementing FADGI Guidelines

Learn about the software, equipment, and tools that Ohio organizations use to meet FADGI standards.

"FADGI is a collaborative effort started in 2007 by federal agencies to articulate common sustainable practices and guidelines for digitized and born digital historical, archival and cultural content." FADGI Guidelines<https://www.digitizationguidelines.gov/>

Cost: There is no fee for attending, but we will be accepting donations for the refreshment kitty. Thank you to the institutions who host us, our volunteer speakers, and program committee!

Agenda:
- 10:00 am-10:30 am: Coffee & snack social
- 10:30 am-11:30 am: Presentation & discussion
- 11:30 am-11:45 am: Break/rearrange room
- 11:45 am-1:00 pm: Brown bag lunch: all attendee update & announcements. (We will do our usual OhioDIG Round Robin where all attendees will have a chance to share what they are working on at their organization and ask any digitization questions of the group.)
- 1:15pm-: Optional: TOUR of CML's Digital Lab in the Local History and Genealogy division

*The Carnegie Café at Main Library is a coffee shop that also has pre-packaged salads and sandwiches as well as sweet treats like cookies, brownies, etc.

Parking: Parking garage, free with validated ticket. The library has an attached garage accessible from Library Park North. Bring your ticket with you to the meeting and we will validate your parking.
