Hi all,

I recently joined the Toledo Lucas County Public Library replacing John Dewees in the position of Supervisor Digitization Services. Very excited to be a part of this community and looking forward to meeting those of you I do not know in the future!

As part of my new role, I have been tasked with evaluating TLCPL's digitization technical specifications to ensure that they are in line with other digitization hubs in the region and nationally. If you are willing to share your institution's digitization guidelines, I'd be most grateful. I am specifically looking to gather information on what your institutions require for:

  *   Master file format
  *   Access file format
  *   Resolution
  *   Bit depth
  *   Color Space
  *   Cropping

I understand that some of these specifications will vary depending on what is being digitized. TLCPL is mostly focused on paper-based originals so I am most interested in how you approach materials of that type.

Thanks so much for your assistance!

Best,

Janet Rhodes - she/her
