SAA's Committee on Ethics and Professional Conduct will be sponsoring a number of author talks during the first half of 2022, and our first event will take place on February 22, 2022 at 1:00 pm Central time. Ricky Punzalan (University of Michigan) will be presenting, Words Matter: Reparative Description as Decolonial Action, an examination of harmful descriptive practices of Philippine collections at the University of Michigan, and how better relationships between institutions and communities can be developed.

The presentation will be followed by Q&A.

The event is open to both SAA Members and non-members.
