[Ohiodig] sticky slides

We recently discovered some mid-1980s 35mm slides in sleeves that are sticky. The sleeve pages are stuck together and unfortunately, the slides are sticky too. It is unclear what the sticky substance is, but we would like to clean and re-house them. Any suggestions?
