We are excited to invite you to SOA 2021: Archives in an Era of Change. This year's two days of sessions include topics on amplifying diverse voices in historic narratives, inclusive description practices, and evaluating and readjusting workflows during the COVID-19 pandemic (all via Zoom). Plus registration is FREE for members!*
We are pleased to welcome Ben Garcia as our keynote speaker as he presents, "Archives, Libraries, Museums: Meaning-making and Magic." Garcia is deputy executive director and chief learning officer at the Ohio History Connection. His talk will be a reflection on why our work matters, where we have gone astray, and what the path forward could be. This presentation will touch on the meaning of collections and spaces, digital and physical. And a rationale, rooted in our deepest places, for equitable practice, access and representation in our fields.
In the Virtual Archives Crawl, tour guides will give an inside look at unique items and innovative spaces.
