Hi Noah,

I can't remember if you were able to attend the March OhioDIG meeting on Grant Funding Opportunities for Digitization in Ohio, but the recording and slides are available from the OhioDIG meeting page<https://ohiodig.org/meetings>.

I'll also second Penelope's suggestion of the LSTA open grant through SLO.

(And there are some grants that you probably wouldn't be eligible for, such as those through the NHPRC that focus on original documents and records--rather than published materials--with the exception of newspapers).)

Hi Noah,

You may consider applying for an LSTA Open Grant through the State Library of Ohio<https://library.ohio.gov/services-for-libraries/lsta-grants/#AvailableGrants>, which are grants up to $4,999. "The LSTA Open Grant program will allow libraries to address a specific customer need or develop an innovative program idea. This program will allow applicants to apply a new method to solve a problem, build a program or service, and assist the library in carrying out its mission and plan while helping the State Library address LSTA goals. All projects must focus on the needs of a specific target audience."

Dear All,

I have a potential digitization project and I was wondering if anyone might have some suggestions on which grants would best fit the project.

Our museum has a collection of 142 issues of aviation magazines from 1938 to 1946 that we would like to have digitized. The final cost is $1,837.68. (For reference, the math is 142 issues at $3.00 per issue and 11,764 pages at $0.12 per page.)

However, it is not applicable in this situation because the collection is not specifically Ohio related and the plan does not involve uploading the content to Ohio Memory.
