Hello, OhioDIGers!

Recently at the library, I provided help to someone from the Hagley Museum and Library in Wilmington, Delaware. In 2019, their organization received a donation of several thousands of reels of films, as well as scripts and photographs from Cinecraft, a Cleveland-based production company, and they are in the process of digitizing them for their digital collections.

There are hundreds of Ohio materials already digitized and in the Cinecraft Productions Films<https://digital.hagley.org/2019227> collection. I watched a 1939 film sponsored by Sohio called Let's Explore Ohio: Ohio at Play<https://digital.hagley.org/FILM_2019227_FC012>, that features Cedar Point, Euclid Beach, the Toledo Zoo, Indian Lake, and Cincinnati's Coney Island. While the film was meant to encourage consumers to travel around the state and spend more money on fuel, it still provides insights and glimpses of Ohio history, like so many other items in this collection! If you are interested, check out the collection here<https://digital.hagley.org/2019227> (https://digital.hagley.org/2019227).
