The Society of American Archivists Preservation Section has extended the deadline for the 2020 Preservation Week Twitter Conference! We are still in need of proposals in order to be able to continue this virtual conference. No need to travel (or change out of your pajamas!) This could be a perfect opportunity to gain experience as a conference presenter. We welcome presentations on contemporary topics, including but not limited to: born-digital preservation projects, social justice-related archives, climate change/environmental sustainability in preservation, and techniques for preserving the present in regards to the ongoing pandemic.

As part of the 2020 Preservation Week activities, the Society of American Archivists Preservation Section will be hosting a Twitter Conference (#PresTC2020) on Wednesday, April 29th 2020. This free and inclusive conference will cover a range of preservation related topics for archivists and librarians (or any interested party!). You can follow along on Twitter using the hashtag #PresTC2020 and ask questions to the conference "speakers". We hope that there will be lively presentations and debates that will be accessible to a wide range of audiences.
