Due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the ALAO Conference Planning Committee is extending the conference proposal submission deadline to June 26th. Please consider submitting a poster, presentation, or roundtable!


We are committed to providing a valuable, action-packed conference for you! Should the COVID 19 social distancing restrictions still be in place by October 2020, rest assured that the Committee is also now actively exploring alternative options for the conference format. We’ll keep you updated going forward!


The Academic Library Association of Ohio (ALAO) conference planning committee invites you to submit proposals for the 46th Annual Conference, Resilience: Sustainable & Thriving Academic Libraries for the Future.



Conference Date: October 29-30, 2020

Conference Location: Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center in Columbus, Ohio

Submission Deadline:  June 26, 2020

We encourage thoughtful, timely proposals from all areas of library work. Adherence to the conference theme is encouraged but not required.



Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

  *   Equity, diversity, inclusion
  *   Open education & other trends
  *   Mindfulness
  *   Preservation

One proposal form will be used for all presentation types:

  *   Presentation
  *   Poster Session
  *   Roundtable
