Recognizing the ongoing challenges faced by all Ohio libraries, we believe that developing the next generation of transformative library leaders is vital to ensure the continued depth, growth, and quality of library services for all. LLO is an opportunity to develop future leaders for Ohio libraries, and to help Ohio library staff become leaders in the communities they serve.

Tuition for LLO 2020 is $550. The event will be facilitated by OhioNET and The State Library of Ohio, along with special guest speakers with statewide and national reach, both from inside and outside of the library profession.

LLO 2020 targets both support and professional library employees working in public, school, special, and academic libraries, and all are eligible to apply. The selection committee is seeking applications from individuals that demonstrate the following:

  *   Outstanding leadership potential
  *   Excellent communication skills
  *   Successful library employment experience
  *   A passion for libraries and a willingness to explore the impact they can have in their communities
  *   Forward-thinking approach to problem solving
  *   A commitment to the profession, including the ability to foster diversity and inclusivity

If these phrases are often used to describe you, or if these are areas you would like to develop further, then LLO 2020 offers a venue, a curriculum, and a network of colleagues to grow your strengths and skills to become an Ohio Library Leader.

32 individuals will be selected to attend LLO 2020.
