Attendees will learn to:
•Describe the challenges and implications of mapping metadata from one standard to another;
•Assess legacy metadata and translate it into current standards and practices
•Plan and execute a metadata migration;
•Identify and use appropriate tools and techniques to make the process easier;
•Assess metadata documentation and create local documentation to capture decision-making; and
•Understand practices for ongoing metadata reuse and sharing.
