Forwarded from a DPLA list:

Hello DPLA hubs:
I am leaving the Alliance on July 3 and will be unable to manage the process of the Orbis Cascade Alliance’s initial ingest to DPLA, and am seeking a short-term contractor to manage the process. If anyone at other hubs has recommendations for a short-term (maximum six months) contractor to contact, I’d appreciate it very much.

At minimum, the project would be to manage the initial ingest of Alliance digital collections into DPLA by the end of 2018. This work would include:
—Working with the Alliance’s Dublin Core Best Practices Standing Group to do metadata review;
—Working with DPLA technical staff as they build the harvester for the Alliance endpoint, and reviewing iterations of ingest;
—Identifying and resolving issues with the Alliance’s harvester with the developer;
—Communicating with DPLA staff on publicity/promotion when the collections go live.

Many more details available of course, but that’s the overview.

Best, Jodi
