Hello Grant Seekers and Ohio History Fund Friends,
The Ohio History Connection is happy to announce that the application for the 2018-2019 round of Ohio History Fund grants is now available at ohiohistory.org/historyfund<https://ohiohistory.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=37ce5c8c24208a588c681edc5&id=9661a847da&e=baef517f22>. The application deadline is Sept. 5, 2018 (by 11:59 p.m.).

The Ohio History Fund is a competitive matching grants program for history projects. The program is supported by the funds Ohioans donate through the "Ohio History Fund" tax check-off on state income tax returns, the purchase of Ohio History mastodon license plates<https://ohiohistory.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=37ce5c8c24208a588c681edc5&id=2967e13b81&e=baef517f22> and donations to the Ohio History Connection designated to the Ohio History Fund<https://ohiohistory.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=37ce5c8c24208a588c681edc5&id=6d775e0a44&e=baef517f22>.

These grants support all kinds of history projects including museum collection storage initiatives, educational programs, exhibit development, digitization of archival materials and historic photographs, repairs and rehabilitation for National Register-listed historic buildings, archaeological surveys, oral history, and more.

Eligible applicants include local historical societies, museums, public libraries, genealogical societies, university archives and special collections, historic preservation groups, archaeological societies, county records management offices, “friends” groups, and other non-profit and public entities.

Ineligible applicants include for-profit businesses, private individuals, and the Ohio History Connection.

The Ohio History Fund application process is entirely online. No paper submissions of grant applications are accepted. Applications can be printed, however, for the applicant's reference.

This year's grant application is mostly the same as years' past, but because we learn new things with every grant cycle, we tweak the application. This year, we clarified wording on a few of the questions in the narrative section of the application - that's it!

Also note that the "How To" History Fund webinars, found here<https://ohiohistory.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=37ce5c8c24208a588c681edc5&id=f3c7298e61&e=baef517f22> will be going off line as of June 25 because the Ohio History Connection is changing webinar provider services. We will attempt to re-post the webinars in the new format as quickly as possible.
